Our Excitement is Building ~ Literally!
Aspen House will be more than just a building — it will be a warm, welcoming, and supportive home where adults with developmental disabilities in our community can feel safe, valued, and truly belong.
With the amazing support of our general contractor, Tim Brown, who is coming out of retirement to make Aspen House a reality, and the generosity of the local building trades, we are ready to raise the final $750k needed to complete construction!
The architectural plans and site engineering are now complete, Pagosa Lakes Property Owners Association (PLPOA) has signed off on the proposed plans, and we are ready to begin construction. We plan to have the foundation poured and begin the dry-in construction in Spring. Our goal is to welcome our first Aspen House residents into the completed home by late 2026 – early 2027.

The Cost of Building Aspen House
Building Aspen House is about much more than bricks and mortar—it’s about creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive home for adults with developmental disabilities in our community. Our vision is to provide not just housing, but a place where residents are surrounded by the services and opportunities they need to live full and rewarding lives. This includes personal care, community connections, mentorship, vocational training, healthy living education, nutritious meals, and personalized support that fosters independence—all within reach of family, friends, and their supportive networks right here in Pagosa Springs.

In addition, we are establishing a $2 million endowment fund to ensure affordability for all residents. This fund will bridge the gap for those unable to meet the full monthly cost, making Aspen House truly accessible to the individuals who need it most.
